Subject: A great episode.
A great episode with nice information about the Macintosh 128k that I didn't know previously. Literally, everything is done perfectly. No complaints. Really like all the other Computer Chronicles episodes.

Subject: Gem
I remember running GEM before windows was available to me, slightly earlier ? on an apricot or something similar, GEM paint was pretty cool i remember doing some nighttime images with moons and silhouettes. But also using ventura publisher on a hercules graphics card linked upto the first laserwriter, people dont understand the power or importance of the DTP revolution, its true the original mac screen was a bit small to satisfy many pro business users, and the simultaneously sold old Apple II was better value hardware wise, but believe it or not, timeout magazine was originally produced on that tiny screen ;) crazy to think so. Amazing to think think that DRI and CP/M flushed all their market share away by not taking IBM seriously, but GEM was good. all gone now.

I actually worked on the computer chronicles, and I remember this episode - that was me shooting macworld (when I had hair!). Boy do i have stories! - Brings back great memories - Gary Kildal would drive up to the studio in his white Lamborghini Countach - emerging from the upswinging doors in his cowboy hat - he was a great guy, really nice too, and Stewart with that famous comb-over - still has it, I believe - then there was George Morro, who carried around a little red book of his quotes called 'quotes from chairman Morrow' - patterned after the communist one, of course. Great people worked on that show...I shot alot of the field stuff and was 'camera 3' in the studio.
